30 June Grande Pre National Historic Site

On the way to Annapolis Royal we stopped at the site of an Acadian Village.  Site of the expulsion of the Acadians in 1755 by the British.  Some of them went to Louisana to become the Cajuns.  The village that inspired Henry Longfellow's poem Evangeline.  Beautiful site.
